Aunty 72: A Marathon Runner from Mumbai

Sharing an inspirational story of  Mrs. Primla Hingorani who is popularly known as Aunty 72. Her journey with Marathons started more than a decade back when she took part in the 10 km Dadar Marathon, where she stood first. This was followed by her participation in the very first Standard Chartered Marathon, which she truly enjoyed and haven’t missed its yearly series ever since.

'Tirath Darshan' Scheme for Elderly by Haryana Tourism Department:

A very interesting pilgrimage related scheme has been recently announced by the Haryana Tourism Department for the senior citizens(60+) belonging to all religions in Haryana.

As per the scheme, the department would bear the entire cost of tour of senior citizens belonging to Below Poverty Line(BPL) families and for senior citizens belonging to non-BPL families, it would bear 70 per cent of the cost only.

105 year old Lady ended open defecation in her village

This post is in honour of 105 year old Mrs. Kunwar Bai Yadav, who built a toilet in her house by selling off her goats and encouraged others in her village in Chhattisgarh to stop defecating in open by building toilets in their house too. Last year she was also honoured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for such a great act of her towards cleanliness.
